Level Up Your Management Skills for Reactive Dogs

A Recorded Webinar from Rover Rehab Dog Training

About This Webinar

This recorded webinar will help you learn how to "level up" the management skills you use on walks to maximize their effectiveness, prepare your dog for more productive learning, and make your walks feel less stressful.

  • What is "reactivity"?
  • Reactivity is an umbrella term often used to describe dogs who bark, lunge, growl, try to escape, or engage in other problematic or unsafe behaviors. For this webinar, we are looking specifically at reactive behaviors that occur on walks

What is "management"?
  • Management refers to things we do to reduce or prevent our dog's access to triggers, or reduce or prevent them from engaging in behaviors we would rather avoid
  • Management strategies on walks include things like using a treat lure at your dog's nose to move them away from a trigger, scattering treats on the ground for them to sniff out, keeping your dog on leash, using things in the environment to hide behind as triggers pass, and more
