Welcome to Make It Click, I'm so glad to have you here!

You're now a member of a club of wonderful dog guardians just like you who want to learn more ways to support their dogs and themselves as you navigate living your best life together. Here you have access to monthly group meetings with the whole club, a community group for support and getting answers to your questions, a resource library, on-demand courses and more.

The list below outlines what you can expect to receive in your membership, with more detailed information found in the separate sections of this course portal!

What Make It Click Includes:

- Twice-monthly virtual group events:

A group class on the first Tuesday of the month (with the exception of August 2024 - check out the Community Events section for more on our special schedule for kickoff month!)
Office Hours on the third Tuesday of the month
Both events at 7pm ET

- Access to a members-only community Discord group for discussions, questions, and getting to know the other pet guardians here. This is also where you will have the chance to discuss and vote on monthly class topics that are most interesting to you!

- A training resource library with topics from puppy training to leash walking to reactivity and more, with new resources added regularly. You can also watch all 19 of the recordings from previous Make It Click webinars and group classes in the resource library!

- All Make It Click podcast episodes, including all membership-exclusive episodes

- The complete "Practical Skills for Vet Visits" on-demand course

- Make It Click PLUS members also have access to one private 1:1 virtual training session each month. You can learn more about that in your welcome email or in the Make It Click PLUS section in your portal.

- Discounts/first dibs on some Rover Rehab training services & merch (check out the Discounts on Services & Merch tab for more info on that!)

You can find information on the event schedule, the community Discord group, and discount offerings in the tabs in this section (they should appear in a menu on the left side of this page). Each of the other membership items listed above have their own section going live on your Courses page on August 1st, and you'll get an email when they are open and available! The Make It Click PLUS section of your portal is open now, if you are enrolled in that tier, so you can hop over there to learn more about your expanded membership and how to schedule your 1:1 sessions.

Meet Lyz (she/her)

If we haven't met formally already, hi, my name is Lyz! I am a multi-certified professional dog trainer (IAABC-ADT and FFCP) and the owner of Rover Rehab Dog Training. I currently live just north of Boston with my senior rescue dog, Molly, who is my own nervous/reactive-in-recovery pup (so if you are struggling with anxiety or reactivity with your dog, I know exactly what that feels like and would love to support you!). I have a special place in my heart for nervous and shy dogs and love helping them blossom into more confident creatures who feel safe expressing themselves and exploring the world. I am a crossover trainer and an advocate for force-free, fear-free training and all that this offers, and also enjoy helping others make the transition to positive reinforcement training. I believe that being a dog guardian is about more than just having a dog who listens to you and that offering choices and agency is vital. I also believe that meeting the needs of the humans is important and that our own self-care is a valuable part of training and life with our dogs!

Outside of being a dog nerd I also love reading fantasy novels, crafting, watching DnD shows, and caring for my many houseplants, so those topics might come up sometimes too! I am an Aries, a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and have 14 tattoos (four of which are dog-related). I work hard to create learning spaces that feel supportive and that best meet your needs, so if there are any accommodations I can offer to better help you learn I would love to chat about how to make that happen.
